ABOUT SkateMS.com

It's been more than a year since SkateMS was born. Hopefully we have somewhat accomplished our goal of bringing Mississippi skateboarders together, presenting media and supporting the skateboarding community as a whole. Our users' response has been overwhelming, and we definitely appreciate the praise.

HISTORY OF SKATEMS
One fine day in February 2002, Tate Nations was skating at Park X in Pearl, MS. He met Austin Cannon and they both agreed Mississippi needed some sort of handy-dandy web site to promote skateboarding. Both being web developers, they plunked on their computers for the next few weeks and SkateMS.com was born.

WHY HAVE SKATEMS?
This site is for you. The skateboarder living in Mississippi/The South. Even if you're not a resident of the state and you enjoy our scenes, we welcome you and invite you down South to enjoy our 'crete.

We would like everyone to share photos, videos, stories, reviews.. anything that has to do with skateboarding. Always let us know what you think of the site by contacting us and let us know what you want skatems.com to be.

Help us promote the site and in turn, that will promote skateboarding. Tell your friends. Tell your mama. Write it on your notebooks, your backpack and your board.
